About the publication
What has been the impact of the Asian financial crisis on the Asia-Europe relationship? Is there a similar approach among Europeans, who are building a strong regional community yet are attached to global cooperation, and Asians, who have first reached across the Pacific but are now inclined to cooperate within Asia itself? This report recommends the adoption of monetary cooperation tools in Asia and stresses that Europeans are looking forward to the emergence of another regional pole in Asia structured around economic growth.
