Dr. M. K. Chng is Senior Lecturer at the Department of Economics and Statistics, National University of Singapore. After graduating from Trinity College, University of Cambridge, in 1968, he worked for a short period at the Ministry of Finance, Singapore, before returning to Trinity College for futher studies as a research scholar. He received his doctorate from the University of Cambridge in 1975 and joined the University of Singapore.
