Muridan S. Widjojo has worked at LIPI since1993, in the areas of local and national politics with a focus on studying movements in Eastern Indonesia (Papua). He received his doctorate, with a thesis on the history of social movements inPapua and Maluku, from Leiden University in the Netherlands in 2007.
