Yoichi Funabashi is an award-winning Columnist and Chief Diplomatic Correspondent of the "Asahi Shimbun". He is also a contributing editor of the prestigious journal "Foreign Policy" published in Washington, DC. In 1994 he won the Japan Press Award, which is Japan's equivalent to the Pulitzer Prize.
