Setiadi is Lecturer at the Faculty of Cultural Science and Faculty of Geography, Gadjah Mada University, Indonesia. He is also a researcher at the Centre for Population and Policy Studies in the same university. His recent research interests include issues such as governance and decentralization, international migration, policy of internally displaced persons, and the impact of the economic crisis on rural people.
