Soe Saing has served in the Government of the Union of Burma in the Ministry of Planning and Finance. He was seconded to the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP). He is currently a Visiting Fellow at the Institute of Southeast Asian Studies, Singapore.
