Tran Thi Thu Trang is a Ph.D. candidate in the Institute of Social Studies, The Hague. Her work focuses on rural diversification and differentiation, particularly in Vietnam. She has published a number of articles on local governance, as well as on the role of information in rural diversification. She has several years of experience in field research, and has been involved in the management and evaluation of rural development projects for academics, NGOs, and UN agencies.
