David Y.H. Wu

David Y.H. Wu, Ph.D., is currently a Research Associate of the Culture Learning Institute, East-West Center, Honolulu, Hawaii. He receieved his doctorate in social anthropology from the Research School of Pacific Studies, the Australian National University. He has conducted fieldwork in Taiwan, Hawaii, Papua New Guinea and Singapore. From May and July 1976 he visited the Institute of Southeast Asian Studies as Research Associate. His contributions on the subject of the overseas Chinese, the immigrant community and ethnicity have appeared in books and jounrals published in Singapore, Australia and the United States.
